This two-storey home in Ottawa’s prestigious Qualicum neighbourhood is currently undergoing a comprehensive EIFS installation by Durabest Stucco. The scope of work begins with the complete removal of the existing exterior cladding, followed by the reinstallation of R20 batt insulation within the wall cavities and the application of new OSB sheathing across the full exterior envelope. The home’s size and two-storey height required full scaffolding along all exterior faces to ensure safe and precise installation throughout the project.

With the substrate properly prepared, the team is applying a 2-inch EPS drainage foam board as a continuous insulation layer, followed by a fibreglass mesh-reinforced acrylic basecoat and a textured acrylic finish coat.
