This Ludgate Crescent residential project involved a full EIFS installation across the entire upper storey of a two-storey home in Ottawa’s Beacon Hill community. The property’s original stucco had aged over time, and the homeowner approved applying a complete new exterior insulation and finishing system directly over the existing surface to add insulation value and weather protection without a full tear-off.
Our team installed 2-inch EPS drainage foam over the existing stucco, followed by an acrylic basecoat embedded with fiberglass mesh reinforcement and a professionally applied finish coat. Every joint, window perimeter and material transition was caulked to seal the envelope, producing a smooth and uniform upper-storey exterior that contrasts cleanly against the home’s dark brick lower level.
